Bite Agave Lip Mask

Between being sick and traveling my lips have really taken a beating. After this weekend I was in need of a deep lip therapy. (I’d share a picture but I will save you all from the horror.)

While at Sephora, the sales associate recommended Bite Agave Lip Mask ($26.00 for o.52 oz.). Bite Cosmetics has been around for some time now, but has recently entered my radar. The mask is a rich formula that is intended to restore dried lips with resveratrol, medical-grade Lanolin (found in Carmex) and Jajoba oil.

The tube is a sleek gun metal grey. I found it very difficult to squeeze product out because the tube is so stiff. Another issue I can see with the packaging is in the future the tube may begin to crack.  Cons aside, I prefer a tube over a pot.

Unlike your typical lip balm or gloss, the Agave Lip Mask has the consistency of Vaseline with the texture of honey. This by no means feels waxy. The thick formula, feels like you are applying vanilla scented agave on your lips. It leaves your lips looking sheer and nourished.

Very little product is needed with each application. If over applied, I’ve noticed that my upper chin feeling greasy. I prefer using this product at night, but it can also be used during the day as a regular lip balm or in conjunction with lipstick.

Sadly, I will be returning this item due to an allergic reaction from one of its ingredients.  My lips may have gotten swollen, but they feel really soft.  Allergies aside, I found this to be very moisturizing.
