Kale Has Evolved From its Salad Days

The best weapon to incredible foundation is clear blemish free skin.  Unless you live behind a snapchat filter no amount of primer, or hours at a makeup counter can magically erase clogged pores.  Sadly, life doesn’t come with built in filters.  The easiest way to tackle skin’s impurities is by washing your face.  Don’t get me wrong, there are other contributing factors to clear skin such as hormones, the environment and your diet; but having dirty skin only makes matters worse.  Earlier this year Pacifica released a new Deep Cleaning Face wash made from Kale.  This magical formula made from coconut water, clay, kale, seaweed, blue kale, and glycerin not only removes makeup but cleanses and tones.  Who knew Kale has evolved from its salad days.

Each tube contains 5 FL OZ / 147 mL and retails for $10.00 and can be purchased at Target (here), or the Pacifica Website (here).

Coinciding with yesterday’s post, Pacifica is an environmentally responsible beauty brand.  The Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash is 100% Vegan, Sulfate-free, Cruelty-free and made without animal ingredients, petroleum, parabens and phthalates.  Pacifica goes a step further ensuring all packaging is recyclable.  Sometimes, as consumers we become blindsided by pretty and cute packaging to even consider recycling as part of the equation.  Pacifica does the thinking for us, allowing us to focus our attention on the product’s function without worrying about our carbon footprint.

The Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash has a thin, shampoo – like consistency.  I found it worked amazing when paired with my Clarisonic but not with my FOREO.  If you don’t own either of those tools, it works just as well with your good o’fingers.  Simply remember to gently apply the product to damp skin in a circular motion.

After using this product for quite some time, I can assure you it leaves your skin feeling clean without leaving your skin tight from residues or wax.

As you can see, the Kale Detox Cleaning Face Wash does an incredible job at removing face makeup.  Unfortunately the same cannot be said for removing mascara.  This isn’t a deal breaker for me since I prefer to use an oil based product to remove my eye makeup.  I love using the Cleaning Face Wash  in the morning because it has such a clean, refreshing scent. My only dislike with this product is the packaging.  Seeing as the consistency leans on the thin side, I find the packaging would be better if the cap would be on the top of the bottle.  If you are notorious for leaving products uncapped like myself, you will be sad to discover a counter full of face wash when you return.  Packaging aside, I would highly recommend this product.

Have you tried Pacifica’s Kale Detox Cleaning Face Wash?
