Ipsy’s March Glam Bag is a Friendly Reminder that You Are Beautiful

With everything that is going on Politically, Ipsy took the opportunity to remind us that are beautiful.  Once again, I will go over my Ipsy bag to see if the value of the bag is truly worth the $10.00 monthly subscription.  For those of you who don’t know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription that allows you to test out beauty brands for an economical price.

The March Ipsy Bag reminds us that, “you are beautiful…Pass it On”.

The first item is the Oui Haircare Treatment Masque, a hair mask that is designed to leave all hair types smooth and soft by repairing damaged hair.  The Treatment mask is available in foil pouches containing 0.30 oz of product.  You can purchase 3 packets for $14.00 or 8 packets for $32.00.  So the sample I received in my Ipsy bag retails for $14.00.

The next item in my March Ipsy Bag is the Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint in the color rosé.  I feel like these liquid lipsticks were very popular at the end of last year.  They are known for being very opaque and fast drying.  There is absolutely no transfer, and they are comfortable for being a liquid lipstick.  You can purchase the full size tube at Sephora for $20.00 (here).  The full size contains  0.20 oz/ 6 mL of product where as the sample size contains 0.0034 oz/ 1mL.  Therefore, the sample size has a value of $3.33.

The third item on my bag, Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion, is a higher end item.  The Microdermabrasion scrub can be used by all skin types and is intended to target dullness, uneven skin tones, blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles.  The full size jar is 2.0 oz and retails for $79.00.  The sample size is 0.25 oz and has a retail value of $9.88.  You can purchase the full size product at Sephora (here).

The first full sized item in my Ipsy bag is by the brand “So Susan”.  I’ve never tried this brand before, but it’s exciting to find something that isn’t merely a sample.  “So Susan” generously included a full size (3g/0.11 oz) Blush & Glow Blush in the shade Rose Rust.  The shade is a pretty, blush that is tailored to a variety of skin tones that claims to last up to 8 hours.  If you’re interested in purchasing the Blush and Glow Blush it retails for $22.95 and can be purchased at the “So Susan” site, (here).

Finally, the last item in my Ipsy bag, a full sized Pressed Eye Shadow by the brand “M Princess”.  I received the shade “Chestnut” a beautiful copper shade.  It retails for $15.00 (here) and can be used as an eyeshadow or eyeliner.  At first, I was a bit disappointed with the packaging since it felt inexpensive.  However, after reading the product description I was intrigued to see it was designed to be stacked with the other shadows in the collection.

March Ipsy Glam Bag

Overall, for $10.00 I was surprised to see the products total $65.16.  I think, for $10.00, you can’t go wrong with Ipsy, especially since I received three products I know I love while still being able to try two brand new products.
