How to achieve the look at home, minus the Vera Wang Dress.
When the 2019 Golden Globes took place last Sunday, beautiful skin and fluttery lashes were undeniably the best accessory featured on the red carpet along with the Fuji Girl. In the realm of beauty we are finally seeing a shift from “Instagram Makeup”; and I’m not mad. Glowing skin and fluttery lashes is synonymous with delicate and romantic. After receiving the Behind the Senes exclusive is far easier to achieve at home than you think. Who wouldn’t want to emulate Constance Wu’s makeup look at the Golden Globes?
Prepping the skin is the first step in achieving this beautiful look. Makeup Artist, Molly Greenwald used the Shiseido “Refreshing Cleansing Water” a water based cleanser known for removing skin’s impurities: Makeup, Dirty and Oil. The ph- balance formula aids in maintaining the skin’s natural balance. She then used light wash of Shiseido’s “Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation”.
Molly achieved the entire look using minimal powder. I love that she used a cream to powder formula. If there’s on thing you’ll notice, 2019 will be the year of Less Powder! Molly used the “Minimalist WhippedPowder Blush” in #3 and #4 to warm up the face.
Note : Blush #4 is the perfect shade to use as a cream bronzer for fair complexions!
To finish the the look, Molly used the NEW Shiseido’s Controlled Chaos Mascara Ink which is set to release in Sephora this March. The mascara retails for $25.00. The formula will be available in four brightly colored shades: Black Pulse, Sapphire Spark, Violet Vibe and Emerald Energy.
What sets the Shiseido Controlled Chaos Mascara Ink apart? It’s said to be a smudge proof, clump proof and flake resistant formula that is also ophthalmologist tested while visibly increasing volume and length. Talk about packing a punch! Shiseido will definitely become a strong contender in 2019 as we see looks similar to Constance’s dominate the world of Beauty.
