Estee Lauder: Advanced Night Repair

With so many products out there, it is difficult to pinpoint which products are really needed.  Each week, we are told we absolutely “NEED” this  or that in order to achieve youth and beauty.

But do we really need it all?

As of now, in makeup, primers are the “it” product.  They promise to hide and conceal large pore,  thus creating a smooth canvas for one’s foundation.  There’s a primer for your foundation, eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara, and now blush.

Everyone is so concerned with which primer they should use, they completely overlooked the most important part of makeup…skin care.

Primer is yet another step used to conceal an existing problem.  Yes they prolong one’s makeup, and create a smooth surface, but they aren’t preventing or correcting the issue, simply concealing.  The healthier and more nourished your skin is, the better the overall appearance of your makeup becomes.

Estee lauder: Advance Night Repair

With the colder month’s ahead of us, our skin needs proper hydration.  Dehydrated skin shows earlier signs of aging: wrinkles, enlarged pores, dull skin, etc.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair causes your moisturizer to perform at a whole other level. I prefer using this product at night, but it can also be used during the day.  With two drops, my face and decollete area are primed for my moisturizer.

This serum allows my skin to drink up the moisturizer.  My skin appears hydrated and radiant.  As a person with dry skin I simply cannot go without this product.  When I do not use it, my skin feels the difference as it becomes tight and dull.  I also noticed it prolongs the hydrating properties seeing as moisturizers alone only last a few hours.

Have you tried this before?

I’ve heard Lancome “Genifique” is amazing as well.

What’s your favorite serum?
