It’s been four years since It Cosmetics released its revolutionary Bye Bye Pores Loose Powder. For those of you whom haven’t tried this Finishing Powder before; may I ask, ” What are you waiting for?”
The lightly tinted translucent powder is amazing. It’s light yellow hue allows for a natural silky finish. Much to my surprise, It Cosmetics recently released the highly anticipated Pressed version. Unlike, its predecessor the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Finishing Powder is travel friendly and perfect for on the go touch ups throughout the day!
I love that It Cosmetics created a pressed version without losing the products integrity. Compared to other brands, when I have the option of choosing between loose or pressed, I always opt for the loose version. I find the loose version, Albeit messy, almost always works best. This is not the case with the new It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Finishing Powder.
You can currently only find the new pressed version online at It Cosmetics and QVC . But don’t worry, Bye Bye Pores Pressed launches at Ulta stores and Ulta.com this August.
Now let’s talk about size. The Bye Bye Pores Pressed Finishing Powder contains 0.31 oz of pressed product in comparison to the 0.23 oz found in the loose powder version. It retails for $29.00 .

This ultra lush finishing powder is extremely finely milled. So much so, it was impossible to capture the powder’s texture in the photo. Rest assured, the Pressed Powder applies as phenomenally as its loose version. The translucent formula allows for a universally flattering finish without leaving a white cast on deeper skin tones. When I first tried the loose version at my local Ulta, I was surprised when the associate mentioned the powder contained actual silk. Yes, actual silk! It’s also talc free, which for those of you who may not know talc is an absorbing agent which in many cases further emphasizes skins’ imperfections.
The technology behind this powder is the only explanation as to why my skin appears so silky smooth. It doesn’t matter whether or not I’m wearing foundation, my fine lines and pores appear blurred. This product really does give the appearance of an airbrushed finish. As a person with dry skin, I wholeheartedly stray from powders. Once applied, a powder regardless of cost ages my appearance. The Bye Bye Pores however, is a game changer! It truly does soften the appearance of my pores, without the emphasizing my fine lines.
As I mentioned before, I love to use this powder even on days when I don’t wear makeup, for the simple fact that it leaves my skin feeling and looking amazing. For a point of reference this is a matte formula, with a satin finish. It by no means has traces of shimmer or glitter.

The powder is extremely easy to use. You can apply it with either the sponge that’s included in the compact or a brush. I personally opt for a brush as I find it allows for a flawless finish. I’ve noticed my face looks cakey when I use a sponge.
My current brush preference when using this product is the It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe in #8. I honestly can’t decide which I love more. The powder for its silkiness or the brush for its softness. The brush is so soft I find myself wanting to run it across my face when I’m not applying make up, but I digress.
