It seems as though every beauty product Kat Von D releases becomes a cult classic. The recently released Metal Crush Eyeshadows are no exception. The eleven vibrant, bold shades are absolutely gorgeous.
The Metal Crush Eyeshadow Collection is a Sephora exclusive. Each shade retails for $21.00 and contains .10 oz. of product. The overall formula is by far the best I’ve seen. The color payoff is phenomenal and the level of pigmentation is instantaneous. There’s no need to rub your finger or brush into the product; a simple dab will suffice. The shadows are not chalky or powdery but rather rich and buttery. For being a metallic shade, the shadow is so finely milled I couldn’t feel any texture. This is by no means gritty, nor super soft like other brands that cause serious fallout.
The shade I chose was Synergy, a beautiful metallic bronze. This shade does lean on the warmer side and I would describe it as having a pearl finish instead of a metallic finish. Just look at the color payoff ! The image below was with just one swipe.
After swatching the eyeshadow my biggest concern was that it would be too pigmented and come off harsh on the lid. Quite the contrary, the Metal Crush eyeshadow blends like a dream providing the user the versatility to create endless looks.
